Program – available in two key streams. Created for the ultra-serious and über-talented, this audition-only, full-time course is the leading Certificate IV in Performing Arts (91580 NSW) qualification focused on musical theatre and commercial dance.

Full-time performing arts course: Professionals’ Development Program

Brent Street is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and its Certificate IV in Performing Arts is a nationally recognised qualification accredited by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) RTO #: 91488. The program has two streams:

Musical theatre and commercial dance stream

Brent Street is the only true ‘triple threat’ school of its kind with a musical theatre and commercial dance focus and its structured curriculum achieves clear learning outcomes for its students.

Contemporary dance stream – CSTD Jason Winters Technique Stage 6

Developed by Jason Winters, the JWCT Stage 6 is the most elite stream of Brent Street's contemporary dance curriculum. It’s part of a world-class contemporary dance syllabus, presented and examined by the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing (CSTD). 

Students enrolled in the new full-time Jason Winters’ Classical/ Contemporary Course at Brent Street will now be eligible for the award of CUA50111 Diploma of Dance (Elite Performance) in addition to the award of Certificate IV in Performing Arts (91508NSW).

Taught by Jason Winters and other leading artists the program includes contemporary training in styles like:

  • Jiri Killian
  • William Forsythe
  • Martha Graham
  • Mathew Bourne
